Today’s challenge is to buy something new for yourself because every time you walk into a shop you are lured like some kind of magnet to the kids clothing section where you pick up stuff for them but you always forget to buy something for you right? It’s Saturday, leave the kids with their Dad, (or if you are me take them with you) and head to the shops with the intent to only buy something new for you! It’s a great time with yesterday being the first day of winter so you probably need some new warm clothes anyway. Now I am not talking trackies, no no I want you to get something that will make you feel shiny and new, because you are going to wear it tomorrow in tomorrow’s challenge.
It’s fun to just try some stuff on, head in to the shops and find a shop that you would normally get something from and grab five things you like and actually try them on. Try putting an outfit together, like some jeans, a cute knitted jumper and scarf that sort of thing. There’s so many cheap things out there these days that it doesn’t have to cost a fortune, don’t talk yourself out of it as you are worth it. Remember why we are doing this, there is a bigger picture here you must follow the steps to progress, we are reprogramming your brain that you are worth this effort and you deserve it. You deserve some new clothes to make you feel shiny and new.
So here’s what I got… Check me out, old jeans but new blue top $5 from Temt and new knitted top $20 from Supre, so for $25 I now have something new to wear out and get out of the trackie dacks for a day! When you start shopping you may be reluctant to buy anything at first you will hear voices in your head that say “oh I don’t need it” or “oh that’s too much” but you have to ease in to it. Make a small purchase, like a $10 scarf or a $20 top, then you will get your shopping mojo back and you will be unstoppable. Keep it simple and just aim for at least one new thing to go with something you already have that way you will actually wear it. If you find something that fits well and you really like, buy a few in different colours that’s a great tip!
So the day is young, get your shop till you drop on and do yourself a big favour and get yourself something new. Tomorrow’s challenge is to go out by yourself so start planning that one too! No excuses girl this is for a reason and we are taking baby steps here you deserve it, you are worth it and you have having it!

Now this is one area I do not have trouble with. I am great at picking stuff out for myself. I often pick up a new piece of jewellery and it really brightens my day. Most of them are only a couple of dollars but it makes me feel special and is fun to dress up with my outfits. I was really lucky to be able to pick out some new clothes recently for my blog and it was a real boost for me. I would normally only spend a small amount of money but was able to spend a little more and I felt so spoilt all week! Great tips. N x

Too true Angela, not sure how it happens but it happens. The challenge is great for getting your inner goddess back, follow it and do whatever it tells you to do because I have been there and this is what you need to do to get your mojo back! R
