Beautiful really is a powerful word because when you use it you are announcing that there is beauty on the outside but more importantly on the inside too. To me it doesn’t just mean physically attractive it means having the heart to go with it, having a big heart is to be beautiful. It’s helping someone you don’t even know, or going out of your way to prove you care for no other reason than you wanted to make someone’s day, to make them smile.
It has taken me such a long time to learn that beautiful doesn’t mean having perfect white teeth, flawless skin, immaculate hair, the words aesthetically pleasing, pretty or attractive cover those things. Beautiful is so much more than what’s on your face, or the shape of your body. It’s what you put out to others, it’s how you live your life, it’s how you love your life. When was the last time someone told you you were beautiful? Or even more important when was the last time you told yourself you are beautiful? If you can learn the true meaning of the word you can see that you already are beautiful and you should feel beautiful everyday.
You don’t need a man to tell you you are beautiful, but it is very special to hear it and it should affirm what you already knew but didn’t understand. Today’s challenge will last all year, I want you to make a hand written sticky note that reads “you are beautiful”. You must stick this where you get ready every morning, were you start your day, where you need the most reprogramming each morning, where you end your day, where you get ready for bed. You need to see it to read it, you need to read it to learn it, then you need to live it to benefit. Be beautiful, live a beautiful life and have a beautiful time doing it, because the girl in the mirror is beautiful.
