If you take away anything from me, take this abs are made in the kitchen. You can do as many sit ups as you like or plank as long as you like if you aren’t getting your nutrition right your tummy just wont change shape.
1. Oatmeal. Your morning snack attack is caused by a dip in blood sugar levels. Oatmeal is full of fiber that stays in your stomach for hours, stoping you from grabbing a coffee and a fake healthy blue berry muffin at 10am.
2. Almonds and Other Nuts. Go nuts! They slim your tummy by keeping it full. Nuts will keep you full longer than rice cakes, crackers or carrot cake, and they are full of good fats. Stick almonds, just a leaner nut, to satisfy your hunger pangs, raw nuts are a better choice than roasted or salted.
3. Protein Powder. It’s not just for guys! Protein powder contains amino acids that burn fat and build muscle. Add two teaspoons to a smoothie for a fat-busting drink. Find it at health food stores and always chose vanilla as you can add flavour to it with fruit or cocoa.
4. Olive Oil. Did you know fat can help you control hunger. Aim for monounsaturated fats like olive. They will help keep your cholesterol under control and satisfy cravings.
5. Eggs. Eggs contain vitamin B12, which your body needs to metabolize fat. Eggs are really good for you like natures little vitamin pills. Full of protein and good fats they will keep you fuller for longer and stop you snacking on junk later in the day.
By adding these 5 foods to your diet you are five steps closer to a flat belly. Cleaning up your diet isn’t as difficult as you think, a few small changes in the right spots will see you noticing the difference on the scales.
