Three Hot Health Tips

So it’s no secret I am a bit of a health nut, I have no degree’s to back up what I say but I know what has worked for me just by taking an interest in my health and reading different things along the way. Today I wanted to share some health tips that may surprise you how simple they are and how they can make a difference to your body.

Green Drink. I would like to say I start each day with this but some mornings I just don’t get to, but I love the idea of a green drink so I make them often. This is a cancer fighting antioxidant punch in a glass. You need a juicer or blender both work fine just one will be smooth and one may have some chunks. You need: Cucumber, spinach, celery, 2 apples (to ease you in to it), lemon or lime juice. You can use anything green really, it’s great because you probably wouldn’t otherwise eat these so just drink them raw in one go.

Omega 3&6 Fatty Acids. Your body can’t make these so we have to eat them. A way to get these in to the kids diet is to spray their food with some Olive Oil, it wont change the flavour and they wont even know. You simply spray some in or on your food. It is great for your skin and their little developing brains.

Iodine. Buy Iodised table salt. Iodine is a mineral that humans need to consume especially if you are pregnant as it is used for brain development. Iodine was used in dairy farms to wash down the milking equipment/areas and it therefore found its way in to our milk supply but this practice has since been stopped and now many people are developing iodine deficiencies. So a way to get it back in to your diet is by using iodised salt not the fancy pants sea salt that is all the rage since all the cooking shows started!

So there are three simple ways to boost your  family’s and your heath that you can achieve with little fuss. Remember our health starts in the kitchen you really are what you eat, you need to be healthy on the inside first. Make these subtle changes to your diet for a healthier you today!
