Next time you are having one of those, “I really don’t feel like cooking tonight” nights, or you forgot to get something out of the freezer the night before fear not. In our house for nights like this we have what over the years the kids have named a ‘Cheese Slammer’!
Did you know, a toasted cheese sandwich on wholemeal or multigrain bread has enough protein, calcium and carbohydrates to be considered a complete meal for a small child. To add a little extra, like some vitamin C add some grapes and cherry tomatoes, no prep needed. Serve with a Milo and you have made a nutritious guilt free no mess no fuss dinner. Now get them off to bed and put your feet up, some good stuff on TV tonight.
