Christmas with kids really is the most wonderful time of the year, come and see as Christmas day in the life of me
It’s hard to believe another Christmas has come and gone, they just seem to keep happening so fast. Now that it’s all settled down I thought I’d get back into my blog and share what our little family got up to on this magical day. It all started at 0530am when the little voices could be heard in the lounge room. Somehow they restrained themselves from waking us up and went and waited in their room until 6am, what great kids! Then the crazy started, they came in and announced they both had new bikes and could we come and see. Up we get. Then it went from crazy to hazy when my husband was too eager and woke Mr One to join the fun. Here is a snap shot of us opening our presents at 6am and then again at 10am when the Grandparents and Aunties arrived.
After the presents were done and there was wrapping paper and toys everywhere, it was time to eat. We had lamb cooked in the Webber, prawns with salad and vegetables. Once everyone looked like they were pregnant, we put more food in our mouths in the form of pavlova, ice cream pudding and mango cheesecake. Speaking of pregnant my little sister (by little I mean 23) announced she and her husband are expecting a little bundle of joy in July so our Christmas day was a bit special.
The day keep going with a whole other family to visit on my husbands side. Kids pumped up of festive spirit with parents running on empty off we set. There was more wrapping paper, more toys and more food. More playing, talking, laughing, feeling full well in to the night. We had a great Christmas, it’s just great to have our family all in one house as we have had plenty with one of us away. Hope you all had a great Christmas and it wasn’t all too stressful.
