This is a product review where I have been sent a product to try and to review, I have received no payment for this post.
Today I am reviewing the head lice product sent to me by MOOV Head Lice which has recently been launched with a kids health project based around an issue that is particularly prominent during the school year – pesky Head Lice! So to get people talking about Head Lice to encourage more awareness of this once taboo subject MOOV Head Lice are running an education program for over 150,000 primary school students called ‘Defend Your Class’. I am getting involved as a product reviewer to save you the guess work let you know my thoughts on their products. Also I am running a give away with a huge pack of MOOV Head Lice products for one lucky reader .
A fun way to integrate the head lice check into regular routine could be to pop on a movie and set up a pampering area like a barber shop for your kids who are at the head lice prone age to enjoy whilst you check their hair for head lice. This could be done once a month so perhaps head lice checks can become a routine part of the school year and would keep the household head-lice free.
In the pics above we trialled the MOOV Head Lice Sensitive clinically proven head lice killer by suffocating the little critters for sensitive skin. You apply to dry hair, cover with the shower cap provided and wait 20 minutes. Then after shampooing their hair I applied the MOOV Head Lice Defence Spray which offers 8 hour protection. This will be going on their heads most school mornings I think.
Head lice is a notoriously frustrating problem that occurs in most homes yet the stigma that comes with it sees peoples experiences unshared. No longer, I want to get you thinking and talking about it even with the kids so they aren’t embarrassed and susceptible to bullying should they be host to a head lice family reunion function on their scalp.

Hmmm why I hate headlice where do I start , its not so much the headlice its other parents who either DO NOT treat their childrens hair or dont do it correctly with a follow up and I hate the fact my childrens school can not send a child home who has headlice as its discrimination it makes the process very hard to deal with at home when they can be easily re infected from others not being treated
Simone, thanks for sharing. That does make it hard what is the world coming to all these silly rules doing no one any favours. R
I know back when I was in school (sounding old here!) if someone had them they were sent home immediately to be treated , its costs a fortune to treat a avg whole family these days, I have two children with thick hair I have long thick hair and use 3 bottles on my hair alone to get it done right so one whole family treatment can nearly $100 and we still have a follow up to do a week later …..costly stuff sometimes I think it should be on the Health Cards or at least taxable with school purchases, I have heard of headlice drives before not common read it online where they spend a day treating all students hairs parents get involved and they do the shampoo method of treating. One that is very effective for people strapped for cash that cant treat is the Listerine method …tried it works very well and first time ! Google it 😉
I hate how head lice go to all hair, whether it be clean or dirty, or long or short. I hate how head lice can die off but still leave behind their eggs. I hate how head lice make the skin itch worse than a mosquito bite. And I hate how the whole family has to be treated if even only one member is unlucky enough to get the annoying little critters!!
Effie, sounds like you’d love the pack hope you entered above. R
I hate them because its a problem that you can treat and it can come back so quickly and so often.
I almost wish they treated all children in school.
I treat my daughter all the time (for the last 6 months) but as soon as she comes home from school each day she has adult lice in her hair again.
There is nothing more frustrating than lice!!!!!!!
Kara, the defence spray sounds like the product for you, stays in their hair for up to 8 hrs. Good luck. R
What I hate about head lice is the the same as Simone. I hate the parents that DON’T treat their kids. I have 5 kids, one of which has a sensitive scalp. When I treat my kids, I treat them all, and I treat them completely! If they have lice, I sit there for as long as it takes to get all those little buggers out. And then some parent won’t treat their child and my child gets them again… ARGH!!!!
Stephanie, 5 kids wow! Hope you win sounds perfect for your family! R
Ugh. My son has just started school and the place is infested. I’ve been trying everything to prevent my boy getting them and so far so good but I sense it’s going to be a long itchy year!
Owww dear that even made me itch just reading it! Think you need to win this pack it’s pretty good! R
Another reason why I hate headlice the amount of work having to not only go in their hair but washing all bed linen pillows , curtains , bagging up soft toys, and the embarrassment of letting everyone your child may have had contact know so they can check their childs hair also
Yep it’s a drag that’s for sure. R
What’s not to hate about head lice?! Ugly, crawling, itchy, egg laying grossness – blah!
Haha Bree things to look forward to when your little guy goes to school eventually! R
I hate head lice because even just talking about them makes my head itch. Like really really itch.
Ha!! How do you think I feel each time I read a comment I’ve been going crazy!! R
I’m in the midst of head lice hell now right – SOOO frustrating x
Ahhhhh now I hope you win!! R
