Check out this cute little idea for the kids to make a stick insect. My daughter brings all sorts of things home from Kindy, usually other peoples recycling which as soon as she goes to bed is disposed of just quietly. Yesterday she brought home this cute little guy that we were all laughing at and playing with. It is such a simple idea any little hands can have fun both making it and playing outside with it.
Find a small twig from the garden for your stick insects body, attach some pipe cleaners for leggies and stick on some eyes using sticky tape so there is no waiting for glue to dry. These can of course all be bought from the craft section of any shop. Then you have a cute little stick insect to keep your little person busy in the garden, you could even make a whole family of them!
