Well Mother’s Day was a week ago so it’s almost time to pack up the Mother’s Day cards before they become dust collecting clutter. Today I am sharing my ideas on how to display handmade cards, or anything special really, in a cute yet clutter free way that will preserve them so they can be on display all year long.
I find it hard to chuck out anything the kids make, so I have ended up with a cupboard full of handmade special original pieces. I realised I had a matching set of a Mother’s Day and Father’s Day cards made my Mr8 that would look cute in a frame. So two $10 frames from Big W later I now had a nice way to display the art work without it looking cluttered or messy.
I love these shelves from Ikea because they mean you can have pictures up on the wall but when you get sick of looking at them you can move them around without making more holes the walls. This is on the wall in the kids lounge room and each side is the two cards that I had kept from last year. So Mr8 is proud to have his art work displayed and I am proud to have been made such a cute gift.
Next time you are given something handmade and a bit special have a think about popping it in a frame and displaying it somewhere in the house for something a bit different.
