14 Days & 14 Ways to New You in 2014
TALKING ABOUT YOURSELF TODAY, THERE ARE 3 KINDS OF SELF THAT YOU SHOULD UNDERSTAND
SELFLESS. As a woman you believe you need to be SELFLESS to your family and friends to be a good human. There really are two types of selfless though don’t be fooled. There is: POSITIVE SELFLESS and NEGATIVE SELFLESS. Positive selfless is where you really just do something for another without expecting a return. Negative selfless which is where most of us will fit, is doing something but secretly waiting for someone to validate you. This is when you will get hurt and waste your energy waiting for the return. Need an example, I cooked a really great dinner for everyone so surely it will happen for me tomorrow night, chances are it wont so don’t waste energy waiting for it.
SELFISH. Isn’t as bad as you may believe, of course there is NEGATIVE SELFISH the one that you can think of an example of and there’s POSITIVE SELFISH one we don’t consider. If you don’t put your interests and your health first some of the time as you think it’s selfish you are wrong, so wrong. You need to be selfish at times in a positive way that benefits you and everyone around you. If you don’t get a little bit selfish and keep trying to be selfless you will burn out and become negative selfish. For example you will come to a point where you are so sick of being the only one who cooks dinner each night, you will burn out stop and no one will eat. Or on a greater scale you will burnout and get so sick of putting everyone else first you will give up, feel like crap and be unhappy. We’ve all been there.
SELF-WORTH. You are worth it, you are worth anything you want you deserve all those things your heart desires. The balance of selfish and selfless is self-worth, believing in yourself and understanding you are worth it. You have to value yourself enough to understand you are worth a good life, you are worth health and you are worth happiness. You have to find that balance of where your self fits in, and you have to pass that on to our daughters.

Love love love this post! I think it is so true about it being a good thing to be selfish sometimes and it doesn’t need to be seen as a negative thing when by doing so you will be able to be better towards others.
