DIY Charging Station

While out today frantically looking for Star wars school book contact (which doesn’t exist so don’t bother looking), I just could not walk past this cute little $10 mail holder I found. See I could see it’s potential to be transformed in to a cute little charging station for the phones. I do get a little sick of the question, “where is my phone charger?”.

So I got the man around the house to drill some holes in the back to tuck the charger cords in to. I get sick of the phones, or the IPad charging on the kitchen bench, it looks ugly and it’s only a matter of time before a sippy cup gets emptied on one of them! So this is what it now looks like from behind……

And this is the finished product, a spot to always know where our phones and phone chargers are with no cords laying about. It even has a little draw at the bottom where I have put a pen and a some sticky notes in it, if I need to write down a ‘Get milk’ message or something like that. It’s worked out really well, sometimes it’s fun to be creative and do a little project, I think so anyway! Check her out, she’s a beauty!

I like this idea, I am thinking of doing this.

We have a kitchen that has been changed around to suit my cooking and prep routine.

I have a draw, which could be used as a charging station, and it could keep the kids away from the devices, I won;t bet on it. I like the idea of hiding away the electronics, but I am yet to test if the power chords would all fit behind the drawer, thankyou for this idea.
