Chocolate And Banana Oatmeal

Do not think Oatmeal is a boring old Grandma food it is so not and it is so easy to jazz it up with a bit of imagination.

Today being Easter Sunday I’m having my normal oatmeal for breakfast, my favourite meal of the day, but today I’m adding chocolate protein powder. You can get the same effect by adding Cocoa powder if you don’t have chocolate protein powder. It takes the cardboard taste you are probably thinking oatmeal will have and turns it into something so yummy that could be mistaken for a dessert!

To Try This You Need

1/2 Cup Oats (100% Wholegrain $2 cheap bag for best nutrition)

1/2 Cup Almond Milk (gives it a real sweet taste)

Table Spoon Chocolate Protein Powder or Cocoa Powder

I then add, tables spoons of LSA, Chia seeds, almonds, chopped banana and cinnamon.

This is the best way you can start your day with some slow release carbs, bit of protein, chia for omega, cinnamon to stabilize your blood sugar and your first fruit of the day. A complete meal in one little bowl.

Can I substitute the protein powder for a different more natural protein? Thanks

Yes of course, you can leave it out all together. Natural protein could be more nuts, cows milk, yoghurt, almond butter, cottage cheese, an egg, or try a health food store they have some low ingredient protein powders that are considered natural. R
