We are part of a large family, and with a large family comes a lot of birthdays. It all starts in January, 6 days after Christmas the birthdays start and they just keep coming. They seem to peek in the first 3 months of the year and on top of that the kids often get invited to their friends birthday parties too. This Friday we have one for my little nephew who will be 7, and a school friends party on Saturday who will be 8. What this has taught me is to be super organised early in the year so I never get caught out.
I love giving cards with presents of course, but OMG these days they are so expensive and lets face it they probably go in the recycling bin anyway, so it pays to grab a few from a cheap shop and some cheap wrapping paper too. I have on hand some neutral cards for a boy or girl, some ‘you’re turning 8’ cards as that’s what Master 7’s friends will be turning this year, wrapping paper for both a boy or girl, and lots of sticky tape. I store it all in this cute little cutlery holder picnic thing that I was given once and it lives in the pantry ready to roll!
